Keira-isms, part one

These are straight off my FB page, but I want to make sure that someday they get into her baby book.

 Keira: I want to get a horn dog with Uncle Tommy (at the M Fest)

CORN dog, Keira!!! It's called a corn dog

 Me: Keira, how did you get that? I told you yesterday you couldn't have that.
Keira: Well Daddy was on the computer.
************************************************ 
Me: Keira, you need to pick up.
Keira: No, I'm Cinderella. She doesn't pick up.

Obviously she hasn't seen the movie.

Keira: How do you spell 'daddy'?
Me: D-A...
Keira: That's not how! It's starts with K like mine!!! (Keith)

"Upon walking in the door from work, Keira tells me: 'Mommy you have to stay away from vampires.'
Obviously she has no idea who I am."

"Keira: Lexi and Amelia called me "sassy" today. Why would they say that?
Me: Because you are.
Keira (with attitude): I AM NOT!!!"

"Keira, you are lucky you have 2 brothers. I never had any.
Keira: that's ok Mommy, you can share mine. Then we can be a big family forever. Okay?"

"I don't remember putting Keira to bed in that skirt. Nor did she have her purse on her arm when I said good night. Now she is fast asleep but ready to get up in the morning and head out."

"Me: Keira, what part of 'don't take those clothes out of the dirty laundry hamper and put them on' didn't make sense?
Miss Sassy Pants: You didn't say that word. I said stay out until I get dressed. I was quiet.
Three going on thirteen."

"Keira: Mommy, just read this magazine and be quiet.
Um, okay."

"Keira (in tears): please find my red sparkly headband.
Me: Where is it?
Keira: Not on my head. (Cue tearful breakdown.)"

"Me: Kids, we are going to a party to celebrate Gigi going to Heaven. Gigi's friends will be there.
Keira: oh I love Gigi's friends. They are so lovely."

Enjoy the little things...

The music filled my head as I drove my car along the winding river road on that dark and snowy night.  I had just left my grandpa's wake and was headed home... alone.....  My husband had the stomach flu, we had moved into our new house the day before my grandpa passed, and I was 5 1/2 months pregnant.  The baby boy inside me kicked along with the song, as I cried and listened to the words. Mama told me when I was young Come sit beside me, my only son And listen closely to what I say. And if you do this It will help you some sunny day. Take your time... Don't live too fast, Troubles will come and they will pass. Go find a woman and you'll find love, And don't forget son, There is someone up above. I've always found comfort in songs... the words of the artists resonating with me through even my darkest times. It's the most wonderful time of the year....

The countdown to Hallowe'en begins! Please note this is not the actual number of days until Hallowe'en. The picture was taken two days ago. The house is totally decorated, although I still could use a few more things ;) One of the cool new decorations I bought this year are these Halloween Pumpkin Wall Decals from Kohls.  I love them!  My structured, OCD self feels the mantle is too cluttered, but the spooky side of me just doesn't care. ;) How do you decorate for Hallowe'en?
