We’re all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we
find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with
them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness—and call it love—true
love.

Today's prompt - June 26-- What does your significant other do that makes your heart melt?
I met my husband in June 2000. He had an orange mohawk and a few tattoos. My parents were thrilled.
We didn't start dating for another year. At no point during our first few months of dating, could I have imagined that this is how my life would be now.
Every time I see Keith reading to Keira, playing soccer with Connor in the backyard, building elaborate train tracks for Colin, my heart melts.
Once, when we were dating, he said that all he wanted was a family of his own. As you can see, he got his wish:
For the record, I take no responsibility for the disaster that is our garage. |
