Finally, it was time for my favorite ride, the Haunted Mansion. Keith and I were able to get away for a bit for this. About halfway through, in the cemetery, the ride stopped! And stayed stopped for about 10 minutes or so. Not a big deal to me, since it was the first quiet moment I had had in awhile! ;)
We tried to find the rest of the group - turns out they were on It's a Small World...
Keith and I got in line, and as we got close to getting on, we saw everybody else get off! It was a nice ride too, except for that damn song. ;)
We took a walk over to Adventureland to check out Pirates of the Caribbean.
That was a lot of fun, but the kids weren't too impressed with the dark parts of the ride.
Colin did see someone who he just HAD to meet:
We headed to Casey's for dinner. The kids were in meltdown stages by this point, so our plan was to head back to the hotel. However, we could see Cinderella's castle from the window of the restaurant. The kids loved watching it change colors, so we headed over there when we were done eating. We arrived just in time to see the show, Dream Along with Mickey. The kids were enthralled, so we also stayed for the fireworks.
I absolutely loved the show and the fireworks. The kids, especially Colin, still talk about how much they loved the fireworks display. Peter Pan fought Captain Hook during the show, and the kids love to re-enact it at home. We watch the video of the fireworks from time to time on my phone. I think this was my favorite part of the entire trip. (That, and seeing Connor's face when he first got to meet Mickey Mouse!)
