Oh Keira

Picture this:  Tuesday night. Bath night.  Half-naked kids running around while daddy fills up the tub.  Keira hands me her shorts.  Then her diaper.  I tell her to go find Daddy.

She comes back into her room.  Her hands are wet.  She looks at me and cries, "WET!"  She seems upset.  I think to myself, that's weird, she likes to stick her hands in the bath water...

It was then I noticed her feet were wet too.  I call to Keith, "Did Keira stick her hands in the tub?"

"No."

Well, then.  How come she is wet?

I look out to hall.  Hmmmmmm.............

In her excitement to take a tubby, she peed and ran down the hall.  Large wet spot here; another one over there.

I get her into the bathroom.  Corral her brothers into the bathroom.

I get two towels for the large wet spots on the carpet.

Later, Keith asked me how many places did she pee?

My answer: "Well based on the number of wet spots I've stepped on, and counting the towels I've got down...SIX."

Ah well. Such is life.

Oh No! Atleast it was right before bathtime, not after! :) This has diff. happened in our house. I like how you say "Such is life." FOR SURE! Good motto to live by.

What a funny story! I know I have some many of my own. I AM SO HAPPY that I do. We STRUGGLED for more than 5 years to have our sweet Alie Marie! I LOVE the Toy Story cake too....how cute is that! I think I'm gonna show my sister. She has two girls both born on the same day exactly a year apart....that's a great split party theme!!

Thank you Sarah for your comment too and for following me!! ! I agree I just fell in love with Wrath and the 1st book. I read it 3 times before I moved on! But reading Lover Awakened....oh....there just aren't words! :)
wowzers. i'd say your blog title is pretty appropriate...this sounds like my mom's dog who pees when she gets excited!

thanks for stopping by the cape on the corner, and yeah, you might be right about not using books as decor in your household. you for sure have your hands full!

take care!

Book Review...and a Giveaway!!!

I was lucky enough to win an ARC of When the Rogue Returns from Sabrina Jeffries herself! I couldn't wait to read it.  After reading the first book in The Duke's Men series, What the Duke Desires, I was excited to see that this next book was about Victor Cale.

In When the Rogue Returns, Victor Cale is headed to Scotland to investigate a woman, Sofie Franke.  He has his suspicions that this woman is actually Isabella, his wife who disappeared on him ten years before.  He has spent the last decade searching to bring her to justice after she stole the royal jewels and left him to behind to deal with the authorities.  Isabella Cale, now known as Sofie Franke, has built a new life for herself and her ten-year old daughter after her husband ran off with the royal jewels.

Are you intrigued yet?

Victor and Isa's first meeting was great! Both blame the other for the missing jewels, and both are greatly suspicious of the other's motives.  Despite their renewed feelings of pas…

The Tree of Life

My name is Sarah, and it's been 11 months since my last post. I've thought about it, but life is constantly getting in the way. I even made a goal this year to write more, but it really hasn't happened yet.  Until today.

I went on Facebook this morning to check if there were any updates about the accident I saw on the way to work. Instead, I saw an obituary for a woman I've never met. But I know who she is. She received a kidney transplant a few months before I received mine.

And according to her FB page, she had a difficult time leading up to transplant, a tough recovery, lots of additional illnesses and setbacks, and long hospital stays.

I, on the other hand, never had dialysis, was on the transplant list for an unbelievable 5 months (the wait list is normally 5 YEARS), had a 3-day hospital stay, and other than not tolerating pain medication (so I could only take Tylenol which did nothing for the pain), I've been on my merry, healthy way for over 3 years.

Book Review: Sweet Tea and Spirits

Book: Sweet Tea and Spirits
Author: Angie Fox

Verity Long and her ghostly sidekick, Frankie, are on track for another adventure! The book starts out with Verity receiving a mysterious call from the Sugarland Historical Society, stating there was a murder. But how can there be a murder when no body is found? She enlists Frankie's help to investigate, which leads to a humorous and engaging story!

The book is well-written, like the others in this series.  I enjoy reading cozy-mysteries, especially those that focus on the paranormal.  The author does a great job of creating funny characters with depth.  I definitely recommend this series, and do feel that the reader should start at book one.

*I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
