Embracing Life

I've been behind in blogging lately. In fact, I still have one last Disney post to share. But that will have to wait. I was going through some old pictures recently, and this one stuck out in my mind.  Partly it's because 4 years ago this month, I was shocked at an ultrasound appointment. I was pregnant with my second child. We were headed in for the 20 week ultrasound to see if it was a boy or a girl. There are the two heads. I've said this before. The tech thought we knew it was TWINS. We did NOT. Life changes when you have a baby. Life does back-flips, somersaults, and trampoline jumps when you have two babies. (Especially when you have an almost 2 year old at the same time.) We've made it through the sleepless nights (no wait, they still get up in the night), the trying twos, the TERRIBLE threes. My babies turn four this summer. I can't even fathom it. But these babies preschoolers are my happiness, my heart.

Finally, it was time for my favorite ride, the Haunted Mansion.  Keith and I were able to get away for a bit for this.  About halfway through, in the cemetery, the ride stopped! And stayed stopped for about 10 minutes or so. Not a big deal to me, since it was the first quiet moment I had had in awhile! ;) We tried to find the rest of the group - turns out they were on It's a Small World...   Keith and I got in line, and as we got close to getting on, we saw everybody else get off! It was a nice ride too, except for that damn song. ;) We took a walk over to Adventureland to check out Pirates of the Caribbean. That was a lot of fun, but the kids weren't too impressed with the dark parts of the ride.  Colin did see someone who he just HAD to meet: We headed to Casey's for dinner. We had a bit of a later start to our fourth day, which was quite nice because the weather was COLD! It had dropped down to 32 degrees the night before. (Which was very disappointing, since it was only about 10 degrees colder than that back home!) Don't mind the children in the strollers who no longer wanted to pose for pictures Our first stop was TomorrowLand.  There we watched the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor comedy show defended the universe from the Evil Emperor Zurg on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and pretended to be race car drivers at the Speedway We had lunch at Pinocchio Village Haus After lunch, everyone but Keith and I headed over to the Hundred Acre Woods.
